Fort Augustus is located at the southern end of Loch Ness, 31 miles north of Fort William and 33 miles south of Inverness on the A82.
By car, the A82 winds north to Fort William. Continue along the A82 for 31 miles towards Inverness. As you enter the village of Fort Augustus, go past the police station and take the first left onto Station Road (the junction is on the sharp bend in the road). Lorien House B&B is the second detached house on the right-hand side, set back slightly from the road.
Travelling south from Inverness, enter Fort Augustus, continue over the Canal Bridge, then take a right on the sharp bend in the road, onto Station Road. Lorien House is the second detached house on the right-hand side, set back slightly from the road.
Buses travel back and forth from Oban and Fort William to Inverness, stopping in the centre of Fort Augustus. Also, there are frequent coaches from Edinburgh and Glasgow to Inverness where there is a connecting bus to Fort Augustus. Try Rapsons, Citylink or Megabus for local and national bus timetables.
Main railway stations are located in Fort William and Inverness and are accessible from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Try First ScotRail for more details. Unfortunately, there is no train service between Inverness and Fort William, but there is a good bus link.
