Since we've been at Lorien House, we have tried to ensure that we offer all the warmth, hospitality and facilities which we would like to find when we’re on holiday (but unfortunately often don’t!)

We are a modern, bright and spacious B&B, which we have renovated and furnished to the highest of standards.

We try to offer that little ‘extra’ for our guests! For example:

Breakfast
Our breakfasts have met with rave reviews! (Just read our Visitors Book when you arrive!)

We offer a selection of fine Scottish produce all sourced locally.

Our full Scottish breakfasts consist of local bacon, fresh tomatoes and mushrooms, potato scone, beans, award winning sausages, black pudding and haggis (all from our local butcher) and free range eggs cooked to your liking.

If this is a little too much, why not try our scrambled eggs with smoked salmon served on a lightly toasted muffin or a beautiful freshly smoked Scottish kipper.

Alternatively, you may simply wish to enjoy a warm croissant and some freshly made coffee!

All breakfasts are served with a choice of cereals and juices, coffee, tea or hot chocolate and toast. 

Our breakfasts are served between 8.30am and 9.30am.  For earlier risers, we are happy to leave a continental tray the night before.

We guarantee you won’t leave hungry!

Guest Lounge
Relax in our guest lounge with its extensive library of books and maps of the local area (hillwalking and mountain climbing a speciality), play with our selection of board and card games, watch satellite TV or simply sit in comfort whilst enjoying the views.

David is our resident mountaineer and outdoor enthusiast who would be happy to assist in the planning of walks (low level or high level), mountain biking or skiing. Do not hesitate to ask!

Packed lunches
We can prepare a generous packed lunch (prior notice required), which typically consist of a sandwiches (eg. Prawns, smoked salmon and cream cheese, ham, chicken, tuna, egg, various cheeses etc), crisps, fruit, chocolate and a drink.

Drying and laundry facilities
For those occasional wet Scottish days, we have drying facilities available! We will do our best to ensure it is dry for the next day. Also, we would be happy to wash your clothes should you require for a small charge.

Parking
Off road parking is available, however is limited and allocated on a first come first served basis. On street parking is available outside Lorien House and is free.
